GRAMMAR

VERB TO BE: AM-IS-ARE

Significa Ser ou Estar.

Conjugamos o verbo to be unindo o pronome pessoal ao verbo nas formas afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa.

Ex: I am a student.

I- pronome pessoal

Am- verbo to be

AFFIRMATIVE FORM (FORMA AFIRMATIVA)

I am(Eu sou, eu estou)

You are (Você é, você está)

He is (Ele é, ele está)

She is (Ela é, ela está)

It is (Ele ou ela é ou está)

We are (nós somos, nós estamos)

You are (você é, você está)

They are (Eles ou elas são ou estão)

NEGATIVE FORM (FORMA NEGATIVA)

Acrescentamos a palavra not, depois do verbo am, is, are.

Exemplo:

INTERROGATIVE FORM (FORMA INTERROGATIVA)

Ao fazermos a forma interrogativa, inicialmente usaremos o verbo e depois o pronome.

Vejamos:
